Lisa Smith choreographs this ballet to Igor Stravinsky's music. This dance tells the story of a magical firebird that helps a prince with a favor to defeat the evil sorcerer to save his princess.
The lighting for this dance piece was a fun way to play with warm and cool colors. Certain cools transformed into warmer colors during the scenes with the sorcerer and his minions. I was also able to use textures and saturated colors during the minion scenes to make it appear closer to a nightmare than reality. The warmer colors were more prominent in the parts with the princesses to support their femininity.
