  • ABOUT
Persistence and ambition. This piece recounts Andrés memories of her grandfather constantly encouraging her, along with his students, to keep their heads up, push through and repave the way for good things in life to come.

The lighting for this dance piece used textures to envelop the dancer during moments of pressure within the choreography. The hanging light source serves as a second character as it symbolizes the conflicts and obstacles that may arise during life. It looms over the soloist throughout the piece and shifts intensities until she is able to make it dim by the end of the piece.
